PCS EdventuresLab STEM EDUCATORS CELEBRATE NATIONAL ENGINEERS WEEK
Open Houses in Boise and Eagle, ID – PCS EdventuresLabs have begun their countdown to the annual National Engineers Week and their accompanying Open House events a mere six weeks away! In anticipation, students at the Labs are designing, creating, and building a variety of major engineering feats using mechanical engineering, structural engineering, computer engineering, programming and more. During Engineers Week, a nationally celebrated event that is highly appreciated here in the Treasure Valley, PCS EdventuresLab will be opening their doors to proudly show students engineering designs as well as give tours of these fun-filled learning centers to get more young people interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) topics.
Held during the third week of February, National Engineers Week is coming quickly. We invite all who are interested in learning more about what we do in these student-driven Labs to join us at our upcoming open houses, which are always free to the public. On February 24th in Eagle and February 25th in Boise, PCS EdventuresLab will be open from 5:30-7:30 pm to present students’ engineering projects, answer questions, and explain all the fascinating tools available for use in the Labs.
CEO Robert Grover said, “Engineering is known as the invisible profession because even though engineers build and design the technology and innovation that drives our society, a vast majority of people don’t know what engineers do unless they happen to have an engineer for a parent. With our programs, and these upcoming open houses, we hope to enlighten people and inspire future engineers.”
